Employee Spotlight: Aimee Selfridge

My son is the reason I’m here. For the first several years of my son’s life, we spent our time in and out of doctors offices, with specialists, and had a plethora of therapists in and out of our home. We were told our son would never walk, talk, or feed himself. Today, he does all of those things and then some.
I vowed if he ever got to this point, I would do whatever I could to give back. In 2010, I started my journey to get where I am today. I will graduate in December 2018 with my Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in Autism. In February 2019, I hope to sit for the exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. My goal when I started this journey was to make a difference in the life of a single child the same way my son’s therapists did for him. Now, my sincere hope is to make a difference, no matter how small, in the lives of every child (and family) I have the privilege of working with.
